Living Cost
Living expenses can be roughly broken down into 2 sections:
- Accommodation
- Living Expenses
Accommodation

The accommodation officer at Eden College will advise you on the various accommodation options open to you. The best website for information on renting options is www.daft.ie. This lists thousands of properties to rent throughout the city. The closer to the city centre, the more expensive the property. The further away from the city centre, the more rent becomes affordable. Sharing rooms obviously reduces the rent. A typical modern apartment will cost €1400 (suitable for 3 to 4 people). In most cases, the landlord will require the first month's rent and a deposit in advance. The deposit is normally the same amount as the monthly rental figure. The minimum lease period is usually 6 months to 1 year. Please note that miscellaneous items might have to be purchased e.g. cooking equipment, bed linen etc.
Eden College can provide short-term accommodation upon arrival in Ireland. Please see the Accommodation section under 'Services'.
Living Expenses

Depending on the type of accommodation you select and your lifestyle, you can expect to spend in the region of €7000 upwards per year. Such expenses include food, travel, household bills, clothes, socialising and the like.
Please be aware that these are only suggested figures and some students live on considerably less, while some students spend considerably more.
Please see the Council for International Students (ICOS) website (http://www.icosirl.ie/eng/student_information) for more information on the cost of living in Ireland.
